AP Biology Lab 10: Physiology of the Circulatory System CD-ROM

carolina
Easily measure Daphnia heart rate under various conditions.

Students learn how to measure blood pressure and pulse rate, which are then measured under different conditions such as standing, reclining, after baroreceptor reflex, and during and immediately after exercise. They then use the blood pressure and pulse rate results to relate them to an index of relative fitness. Students measure and compare the heart rate of the water flea, Daphnia magna, under various temperatures and other variable factors.

Tutorial section includes comprehensive coverage of the anatomy of various circulatory systems and the physiology of blood flow. Lab simulations include measuring blood pressure, a test of fitness, and heart rate and temperature. Macintosh®/Windows® compatible.
