Inquiries in Science: Building Ecological Pyramids Kit

A Carolina Exclusive! Grades 9-12. Explore how energy moves through an ecosystem. Students analyze the contents of owl pellets and construct ecological pyramids to represent the data collected. After discussing their results, students are then challenged to apply their knowledge by constructing an ecological pyramid based on the foods they themselves eat.
  • Analyze animal remains to determine food chains and energy flow
  • Explore environmental impact based on students' own food selections
  • Create food pyramids based on individual student diets
