AP Biology Lab 11: Animal Behavior CD-ROM

Investigate how animals adjust to environmental conditions using a simulated choice chamber.

Students study the behavior, physiology, appearance, and form of an animal in response to changes in its environmental conditions such as humidity, light, background color, and temperature. In the second part of the investigation, they study the strict behavioral patterns and the 5 distinct phases of courtship behavior in Drosophila melanogaster.

Includes an extensive tutorial overview of courtship behavior in fruit flies and broad coverage of various animal behaviors in response to sensory input. Lab simulations include general observation of behaviors and reproductive behavior in fruit flies. Macintosh®/Windows® compatible.
